How meet and greet works, terminal by terminal
"Meet and greet" is simply the term for what happens the moment you land: a host is already assigned to your flight, waiting just outside the arrivals exit — never inside the terminal — in a company shirt, holding a sign with your name and our logo. That host is your first point of contact. They confirm your booking on the spot and walk you to your vehicle; your driver then brings the Sedán or SUV-Van to the curb, so you may deal with one or two team members between the exit doors and the vehicle rather than a single stranger.
AICM/MEX has two terminals, Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, several kilometers apart and connected by an inter-terminal train (Aerotrén) and by road — being met at the wrong one means a real detour, not a five-minute walk. Your pickup is matched to the terminal on your flight when you book, so your host is positioned at the correct arrivals exit before you land. If your terminal changes, tell us as soon as you know and we reposition your host to match — the same flight tracking that adjusts your pickup time for a delay also covers a terminal change.
- Keep your booking confirmation or host-sign detail handy as you exit — it is your reference, not something you need to show anyone.
- Stay at the arrivals exit where the meeting point is set; that is where your host is looking for you, not further inside the terminal.
- A short wait usually means your host is timing their position to your actual exit, not a mix-up — the same flight tracking that absorbs a delay applies here.
- Ignore anyone who approaches you before you reach your host; a legitimate host does not need to intercept you inside the terminal.
The two other options at AICM meet you differently. The authorized taxi (sitio) module is a walk-up counter inside the arrivals hall of the terminal you land in — you go to it, rather than someone coming to find you, and you pay the posted zone fare at the counter itself. A ride-hailing app assigns a separate designated pickup point tied to your terminal, so you request the trip only once you are standing there, and neither the driver nor the final fare is confirmed until that moment. A private-transfer meet and greet is the only one of the three where a specific person is already positioned for your exact flight and terminal before you land, holding your name.
For first-time visitors, especially those landing without much AICM experience, the reassurance is less about the vehicle itself and more about not having to improvise on the curb: a matched flight, a matched terminal, a person already holding your name, and a fixed price agreed before you ever flew. That removes the two decisions that cause the most stress after a long flight — whom to trust and how much you are about to pay — before either one comes up.
